Higher-Order Thinking
In order for your children to be prepared for increasingly complex life and work environments, they will need to master the 21st Century skills of creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving as well as communication and collaboration. That is why we at AIA will be focusing on the mastery of higher-level thinking and problem solving skills instead of the acquisition of simple facts as the indicator of knowledge. These higher level thinking skills, as outlined in Bloom’s Taxonomy, along with good collaborative and language skills will create lifelong learners who are capable of fulfilling their role as global citizens and leaders in the society of the future. To this end, the AIA staff will keep the student at the center of the learning process through the use of discussions, collaborative learning and project-based learning.
