Elementary School
The Elementary school implements the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). The Primary Years Programme is designed for students within the age range of 3-11 years (Pre K- Grade 5). It helps develop the child as an inquirer, who can better evaluate situations and initiatives on his/her own. The elementary school is comprised of a comprehensive curriculum that tackles rigorous and challenging subjects. It provides students with all the necessary elements in order to become successful at school, and well-prepared for the future and beyond the boundaries of AIA. Students are encouraged to explore and solve problems using critical thinking and questioning, which keeps their mind alert and capable of conducting constructive analysis. In grades one to five, there are two tracks: one with English as the language of instruction, Arabic taught at different levels and French as a third language; in the second track, the language of instruction is Arabic, with English as an advanced second language, and French as a third language.
