AIA student, Haneen Al Mufleh, exhibits work at Al Markhiye Gallery
“Somewhere... Between Then and Then” Art Exhibition
Doha - Al Markhiya Gallery, in partnership with the Arab International Academy (AIA) and Katara Arts Center, opened an art exhibition entitled, “A Place…Between Here and There” featuring the work of AIA high school student, Haneen Al Mufleh, and centering around adolescent psychology to present the inner world of adolescents highlighting concerns and aspirations in a creative and powerful manner.
The artist did extensive inquiry into her area of interest before working on her pieces, and embraced the challenge of turning her insights into creative displays with great emotional impact. Haneen’s interest in this was deepened due to her involvement in the Student Advisory Council at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, her membership in the Qatar Museums Youth Council, and her work with the Student Council at Arab International Academy. She uses a variety of techniques and materials effectively to present various perspectives on the complexities of adolescent mental health.
The opening was attended by members of the board of trustees, school leadership, and staff, as well as parents and friends and art enthusiasts. The exhibition will continue until January 30, 2024, at Katara Arts Center - Building 5, Katara Cultural Village.
