Tima Al-Zaim
Tima Al-Zaim has 18 years of experience working with the IBPYP. She is an active member of the International Baccalaureate Educators Network as a consultant, workshop leader, site visitor, team leader, and reader. She is a very well-known IB trainer in the IBAEM region. She is involved in School management, IB conferences, and regional workshops, as well as leading school inspection visits for the IBPYP. Before joining AIA, she worked as an IBPYP Coordinator and educational advisor in world IB schools in Africa and the Gulf region and was involved in the IB KFF Project for the introductory of professional development: Learning, leading and teaching for the 21st century. Her goals in education are to help develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who will help to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect. She believes all young people are entitled to access a safe and cooperative learning environment in order to be able to gain the confidence and be successful, self-motivated global citizens. She also enjoys experiencing different cultures by traveling the world, which has developed her sense of international mindedness. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational leadership and she has earned an IB Advanced certificate in Leadership Research from Murdoch University. Her family including (two daughters), will be looking forward to joining a happy school and family environment that is the AIA community.
